Cars Contribution To Global Warming
Thursday, January 07, 2010

In the world we live in today, almost everybody owns a car. The automobile has become essential in our society. We rely on them to get to work, to school, and all around town. However, the growing popularity of automobile use around the world is damaging our environment. The continuous increase in reliance of the automobile very much contributes to Global Warming. As we drive our cars everyday, we must think to ourselves that each time we're commuting somewhere, our cars are burning fossil fuels. As your car burns them, carbon is released as carbon dioxide into our atmosphere, which is a major cause of Global Warming. In our society, cars have become a huge part in our daily lives. We've used them so much to that they have become a major cause of Global Warming.
Although it is obvious that cars are necessary in society today, there are some things that can be done to reduce the amount of damaging emissions that are released in our atmosphere.
We should be thinking the following:
- Consider getting a more fuel efficient car that releases less emissions. You might think to yourself that this wouldn't really make a difference. However, it does make a difference.
- Carpool with co-workers and fellow students to get to and from work or school. This saves both money and helps reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emitted into the air.
- Our government needs to educate vehicle owners and drivers on what they can do to decrease emissions.
- We need to put even more public pressure on the automobile industry to maintain a comprehensive national global warming policy.
