Air Pollution and Global Warming Facts
Thursday, January 07, 2010
Our planet's population is higher than ever. With each passing day, approximately 300,000 babies are born worldwide. More people means more food, more clothes, and more housing. Each of which leads to higher production of everything, and eventually more air pollution. Pollution is a major contribution to Global Warming since it releases carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. It get's even worse. There are less trees to absorb the carbon dioxide because of deforestation(LINK).Air pollution is caused by various things, and has a big contribution to Global Warming.
All of the following contribute to Air Pollution:
- Industrial and manufacturing processes and waste
- Cars and other vehicles that burn fossil fuels
- Volcanoes
- Fuel combustion
- Power generation
- Aerosol cans
- Explosives
- Methane gas from animal waste
- Smoking
- Chemical and fuel leaks and spills
